Why Kashmiri Almonds ?

Also called as “Kashmiri badam giri”, Kashmiri mamra almonds, is special in its own way. They are famous all over the world for their rich oil content and splendid taste. Kashmiri mamra has no specific size and shape. Every tree has its own unique colour and shape.  They are super rich in vitamin E, magnesium and riboflavin, as well as have a rich fiber content, when compared to their counterparts. It is a good source of vitamin B7, which makes it a perfect oil for skin.

Why Wood-pressing ?

Cold-pressed oil and wood-pressed oil are both types of oil extraction methods that prioritise preserving the natural qualities of the oil. However, there is a slight difference between the two.

Cold-pressed oil is extracted from seeds or nuts without heat. Mechanical methods like crushing or pressing extract the oil without heat. This approach preserves oil nutrients, antioxidants, and tastes.

Wood-pressed oil, on the other hand, specifically refers to the use of a wooden press or mill for oil extraction. The seeds or nuts are crushed or pressed using a traditional wooden apparatus.

Wood pressing is often associated with slower extraction speeds and lower temperatures, reducing heat generation during the process. This method aims to preserve the natural qualities and nutritional content of the oil including delicate anti-oxidants.

 Why Curing the Oil in Sun-light ?

Curing the oil in sun-light with a cotton-cloth is a traditional way of curing oils. This helps in moisture evaporation if at all any left in the oil and this process significantly improves the shelf-life of oils, naturally without any preservatives. 

What Does Our Almond Oil Feel Like ?

Our sweet almond oil is golden-yellow coloured with a mild pleasant aroma of almonds. We do not add any fragrances and hence the aroma could be really subtle. It spreads beautifully on the skin and as it is 100% undiluted, little can go a long way. Try it to feel it !
